Datum LLC ("Datum", "we") runs datumroot.com from Chicago, Illinois. This page says what we collect on this site, why, and what you can do about it. Plain words, no tricks.
What we collect
When you fill out a form. Your name, company, trade, service area, phone number, email and anything you type in the message box. We use it to answer your request and build your plan. Nothing else.
When you buy a plan. Checkout runs on Stripe. Stripe collects your card details; we never see or store them. We receive your name, email, phone number, the plan you chose and the amount paid.
Where you came from. On your first visit we set one first-party cookie, datum_attr, that remembers the ad or link that brought you (UTM tags, Google click IDs, the referring site and the page you landed on). It lasts 90 days and is sent with any form you submit, so we know which ads actually bring in work. It is not shared with ad networks.
Sound setting. If you turn the site's sound on or off, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your device. It never leaves your device.
We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels or advertising cookies on this site.
Calls, texts and email
If you check the consent box on a form, you agree that Datum may call, text and email you about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with your request. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of buying anything.
We do not sell or share your phone number or your consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
Who we share it with
- Stripe, our payment processor, for checkout.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site.
- Datum's own software, where your request becomes a customer record so our team can follow up.
That's the list. We don't sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Form submissions and customer records stay as long as we're working with you, and up to three years after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires.
Your choices
Email faizan@datumroot.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. We'll answer within 30 days. You can clear the datum_attr cookie in your browser at any time.
Children
This site is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Big changes get a note on the home page.
